Open to all children aged 7-11

Two fun creative days of creative theatrical play. We will use story telling, improvisation games, devising and script work to develop performance skills, confidence and communication.

Timetable for our two day workshop:

10-11am Arrivals & welcome, warm up & games

11-12pm Small groups and pairs, creating characters, story ideas

12-1pm Lunch(please bring a packed lunch)

1-2pm Improv games, scripts and devising

2-3pm Creative movement and song

3-3.15pm Break, drinks and snack

3.15-4pm Costumes & props, rehearsals and performance

An in-depth day on the craft of acting. Creative games, improvisation, devising, character and script work with guest acting tutors to enrich skills and inspire creativity.

Limited to eight places

  • abigail moore acting tutor

    Abigail works on all aspects of performance skills. Voice work, physicality, creating a character and all areas of stagecraft. We look at classic to contemporary plays as well as devising and plenty of improvisation and play.

  • Tamsin Fessey acting tutor

    Tamsin is director of Angel Exit Tneatre. She draws on her physical theatre, puppetry and clown training to create scenes, looking at how we can tell a story with few words.

  • amy carson singing tutor

    Amy teaches vocal skills in singing with expression, with movement and in ensemble. Children will learn how to warm up and use their voices healthily and with confidence, and learn a couple of fun and contrasting songs from the shows. 

  • Holly McPhee

    Holly Mcphee Acting, Dance and Singing Tutor

    Holly is a south west based actress and dancer with a diploma in Musical Theatre. Having grown up in Somerset, she is passionate about nuturing local talent and helping young performers develop their skills and confidence. She strives to create a welcoming, supportive space where everyone feels encouraged to be creative, take risks, and enjoy the process of learning and performing.
