We chose a script. We cast and re-cast, we added scenes and songs and made it fit the richness of the community that came forward. Now we want to share it ! Scripts were sent out, and then at 9 am on May 9th we gather, rehearse, have lunch, create the set, and in the evening at 6pm we will perform!

This is truly about creative experience. We often don’t have time to play as adults…this is simply creating theatre in domestic settings with local community, for fun, entertainment and creative expression.

We will all contribute to make it a community experience, audience alike - please bring a dish, wine, firewood - all in a very relaxed enjoyable way, and come and share this experience with us.

past (and first ever!) theatre-on-the-hill event:

Our first script-in-hand production ,

‘twelfth night - abridged, with songs ’

on may 3rd was a great success!

What we did: Put on an abridged version (50 min)of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in my garden here in Gare Hill, woodlands as a backdrop, with scripts in hand, using all the skills and talent from the local community. Think comedy acting, shipwrecked sailors, woodland fairies, singing servants and a story line to keep you on your toes!

If you’d be involved in future fun theatrical adventures, or have any feedback or questions, just get in touch.

We look forward to seeing you!
